ARC-CO Payment Information Released

The USDA has released ARC-CO payment information per crop and county.  If a payment is triggered in a specific county and specific crop then the calculated per base acre payment will be used to calculate a farm’s actual payment by multiplying 85% of the farm’s crop base acres for the specific crop by the per acre payment calculated by USDA.  That value will be reduced by 6.8% for the federal budget sequestration.

In Arkansas corn and sorghum received an ARC-CO payment.  The average corn payment in counties with a triggered payment equaled $56.29.  The highest and lowest payments were $93.10/base acre and $0.76, respectively.  The average sorghum payment in counties with a triggered payment equaled $34.55.  The highest and lowest payments were $41.31/base acre and $9.51/base acre, respectively.  Four counties triggered a soybean payment and six counties triggered a wheat payment under ARC-CO.
