A-State Virtual Agribusiness Conference

We are proud to be one of the sponsors for the 2021 A-State Agribusiness Conference. This year, the conference will be virtual allowing anyone to watch live from any location at no cost. Live feed starts at 8:30am CST.

Below is the news release from Dr. Bert Greenwalt and Arkansas State University College of Agriculture and Technology:
 

The 27th annual A-State Agribusiness Conference will be held in an online/virtual format on Wednesday, February 10, and will focus on the agricultural economy, commodity markets, and the impact of the 2020 election on agricultural policy.  This free event will begin at 8:30 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM. No preregistration is required.

General Sessions
The general session features three presentations from two speakers:

  • David Kohl, professor emeritus at Virginia Tech University, will speak at 8:35 AM on the economic and agribusiness outlook and again at 10:10 on management issues for the 2020s.
     
  • Sara Wyant, president of Agri-Pulse Communications, will speak at 9:20 AM on the impact of the 2020 election and the implications for agricultural and trade policy.

 

Commodity Breakout Sessions
Concurrent sessions begin at 11:15 AM and include presentations on the rice, soybean, and corn markets; the cotton industry; and animal agriculture issues.  The concurrent sessions end at noon.
